Marcus Rashford, a Manchester United footballer, is reportedly back together with his childhood sweetheart Lucia Loi, eight months after they split up.
The 24-year-old England footballer was thought to have broken up with the university graduate in May 2021 due to ‘lockdown pressures.’ However, Lucia has sparked rumours that the couple has reunited after posting a photo of a tattooed hand touching her boot.
‘The break was good for their relationship because it gave them both space and assurance that they wanted to make this work moving forward,’ sources told The Sun.
‘They have been together since school, so an opportunity to breathe and focus on themselves was important,’ the insider added.
‘They have a shared history,’ said another source. She is one of the people who is most familiar with him. They reunited before Christmas and are taking things slowly.’
According to The Sun, Lucia was also seen getting into Marcus’ car following Manchester United’s defeat against Wolves.
Marcus and Lucia met at Greater Manchester’s Ashton on Mersey School. Lucia has been seen cheering on Marcus at football games over the years, including the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
She was spotted rocking a Three Lions shirt with Rashford printed the back during England’s win game against Sweden in the quarter-finals.
