‘Heart breaker’ boxer accused breaking woman’s nose after she rejected him
A professional boxer from Canada has been arrested after allegedly assaulting two women in a bar, causing one of them to have her nose broken in three places.
During an attack at Coyote Lounge Bar in Playa del Carmen, Mexico, Peter Nowaczek, 27, allegedly punched Jamie Coutts, who is also Canadian, until the woman passed out.
According to one of the victims, the boxer, nicknamed the Heart Breaker, approached the two women and tried to flirt with them on Saturday night, Dec. 4, but they refused his advances.
Nowaczek, from Toronto, allegedly started walking away from the woman but then turned around and charged at them, hitting Ms Coutts in the face until she passed out.
Both women claim to have never met Nowaczek. Nowaczek was charged with two counts of attempted femicide.
According to her friend, Ms Coutts, who was on vacation at the time of the incident, was left with her nose broken in multiple places, a badly injured eye, and some broken teeth.
She is now having trouble breathing as she recovers from her horrific injuries, but she will need surgery in Mexico before she can return to Vancouver.
