Kim Kardashian has reportedly filed to be declared legally single, just hours after Kanye pleaded for their divorce to be rescinded.

According to TMZ, the reality show star filed the application on Friday, December 11, and if approved by a judge, she will be legally single. She’s basically asking the judge to separate child custody and property issues from marital status. Kim is also requesting that her maiden name be restored and that “West” be removed as her surname.

Kim’s attorney is said to be Laura Wasser, who has frequently filed the same application for celebrity clients such as Dr. Dre and Kelly Clarkson.

Following a year of ups and downs, the SKIMS founder filed for divorce from the rapper earlier this year.

Despite their decision to end their marriage, Kanye, 44, has publicly pleaded with his ex to reconcile. Kim’s ex-husband begged her to get back together with him while performing on stage in Los Angeles just hours before she filed her court papers today.

During a performance with Drake for the Free Larry Hoover benefit show, the Grammy winner sang Runaway from his 2010 album My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.

“I need you to run right back to me,” Ye rapped several times before adding, “More specifically, Kimberly.” It enthralled the audience, who screamed in delight.
