I have received a lot of sticks on social media (Twitter) for sharing a candid yet harmless opinion on the brewing affection between media personality Deloris Frimpong Manso, aka Delay, and rapper Amerado.
These two have given Ghanaians reasons to believe they feel attracted to each other and may wish to see their lovely friendship metamorphosed into an amorous relationship.
Do you need a prophet to tell you this? Can you not see the writing right on the wall?
Well, in sharing my opinion, I used the phrase “drinking from an old well” to describe the personality of Delay and to put into proper perspective the visible gaps that may arise as stumbling blocks to the smooth lovey-dovey ride for the two.
It does not always end in tears. Thus, the naysayers who feel Amerado will do to Delay what Medikal did to Sister Derby, I believe, have failed in their immature reasoning and prediction of doom for the young relationship.

Amerado’s decision to fall in love with Delay, who had intimated that she was too old for her, clearly and succinctly gives credence to the phrase “drinking from an old well.”
Just as great oaks grow from little acorns, old wells do sometimes possess refreshing water. Delay may just be what Amerado has been looking for, or what the latter has been praying and waiting patiently all these years for.
Whether it is a publicity stunt or whether the relationship will not stand the test of time and circumstances, as many have opined, will be determined in the fullness of time.
For now, fingers should remain crossed as we witness from a vantage point how things will eventually pan out for Amerado who has taken the bull by the horn and wants to go on the long-enduring love journey with the gorgeous 39-year-old Delay.
