When a young, physically endearing Izzy started posting the love of his life on Twitter, many relished the moments they created, the perceived love that bonded them together, and the passionate kisses they shared.
Izzy is a Ghanaian-Lebanese guy who appeared to be the toast of every lady on the micro-blogging app carried himself about with a touch of prestige. His constant yet calculated efforts at making a Twitter lady feel like Emma Watson was a regular spectacle.
The magnetic force that pulls their souls into an everlasting love world of drolling, wagging of tongues, and the flirtatious exchange of emotions gave many reasons to believe that their love was a replica of William Shakespeare’s “Romeo and Juliet.”

Well, little did we know that behind the laughter and cheers lay a heart that was not committed to a long relationship and a mind that was focused on the expedient ecstasy their -ship” came with.
Izzy has corroborated the claim by the emotionally-bruised lady that he was actually on a cruise and was not in to make her the Queen of his heart… perhaps the Queen of his moods and selfish interests.
When a lady falls in love, she usually becomes irrational. In that irrationality, she fails to identify the tiny details that could jeopardize the love and serve as a painful tragedy to her fairytale fantasies.
You and I know, there’s nothing special about today because Val’s day is everyday for us. Love fades, beauty fades but what we have will never fade my Queen. I will always be the reason you smile 24/7. pic.twitter.com/mvwFjV3Yq8

Mariam’s bubble got burst when Izzy stated his intention for the relationship. He was in to have fun, not to be the potential suitor of a social media girl who had been made to wallow in an abstract world of pomp and pageantry.
She enjoyed all the dates, kisses, cuddles, the “I will forever love you” moments, the midnight chatters, the long hours of boring yet not-too-easy-to-end calls, the treats, the food, the long tongue that brushed her lips and paralyzed her entire frame…
Everything was built on the foundation of straw. After Mariam came out to state that their relationship was not as serious as many had thought and that they were not actually dating, the jaws of many dropped, eyes popped with horror, and the phrase “Twitter is a different word” became the sermon to calm the nerves of a disturbed and distraught Twitter congregation.

Izzy has always maintained his tag word “Never Commit.” A phrase he says out of nothing but means every letter. A phrase that has become the underlying motivation behind his amorous decisions, choices, and eventual planned-out escapade with Mariam.
Many ladies out there who thought Izzy was that nice guy who was bent on showing women how they ought to be treated have been taken aback.
They have taken an abrupt pause, and have churned out countless tweets about their fears concerning love, dating, and commitment. “I don’t want to be the next Mariam,” they muttered quietly to themselves.
What you see on social media should never become the yardstick by which you measure yourself, others, or even your partners. The social media space is a platform for the fakest of lifestyles where people live in a virtual world of opulence, but in reality, they lead the life of a pauper.

Social media is where you see all the couples heartily laughing, but their hearts are heavy with pain, disappointment, and betrayal.
Social media is where even the dumbest person appears wise, refined, and intelligent. Those who pretend to be loving, accomodating, and pleasant carry themselves with an air of pride and self-deceit.
Behind the social media glamour lie people who are struggling to put their lives together. Izzy and Mariam’s nemesis has sort of drawn an indelible line between reality, fantasy, and imagination.

“I did not love her, we were not dating.” These were the sharp daggers of words that pierced the feeble hearts of admirers of Izzy and Mariam.
It all came crashing down… a false picture of reality.
