Do you know why American rapper JAY-Z is not on social media? Well, he has explained his reasons in a new interview.
Kevin Hart opened up about his relationship with social media and why he doesn’t use it in a wide-ranging interview for Peacock’s “Hart to Heart.”
“It isn’t for me.” It is not for me to participate. “I didn’t grow up in that environment,” he explained to the comedian.
The Roc Nation mogul tried to join Instagram twice, the first time in November 2021 after being persuaded by his friend Lenny Santiago. “I allowed Lenny to gas me. “We were drinking at J. Cole’s show,” he explained.
In his first post under the @jayz handle, he promoted The Harder They Fall, a film and soundtrack he produced. But, just a day later, he deleted the page, which had amassed 800,000 followers in a matter of days.
Despite his personal aversion to social media, he does not oppose it. “I believe in evolution, so whatever form it takes, I accept,” he explained.
While he does not have an Instagram account, JAY-Z does have an official Twitter page with 3 million followers, which he occasionally tweets from.
JAY-Z also discussed his collaboration process with Hart, including how much he charges for features, and why he will never retire from music again.
