US rapper Lil Uzi Vert has changed his pronouns to “They/Them”.
On Sunday, fans noticed that the Philadelphia rapper’s Instagram bio had been updated to include “they/them” pronouns rather than the “he/him” that had previously been displayed to their 16 million followers.
Gender pronouns are used to express one’s gender identity. Instagram added the option for users to add up to four pronouns to their profiles in May 2021, including he/him, she/her, and gender-neutral pronouns like they/them.
On social media, people had mixed feelings about Uzi’s pronouns. “Lil uzi use they/them pronouns now you’ll see a whole wave of young men be more respectful of pronouns fr thank u uzi,” one fan commented, while another mentioned Uzi’s previous abuse allegations: “Lil uzi fans will put up with abuse but PRONOUNS ARE WHERE THEY DRAW THE LINE.”
This follows the release of Uzi’s new song “Space Cadet,” the first offering from their upcoming Red & White EP, which will arrive before the long-awaited P!NK album.

Meanwhile, Uzi’s relationship with City Girls’ JT continues to thrive. On Friday, Uzi brought their “wifey” on stage during Yo Gotti’s Birthday Bash concert at Memphis’ FedExForum, where she performed her verse on Moneybagg Yo’s “Said Sum (Remix).”
