Kanye West has hired a lawyer to handle his divorce’s custody concerns, and we’re informed that unless he and Kim Kardashian reach an agreement, the case will go to a judge.
Kanye’s lawyer, Samantha Spector, is making custody job #1, according to sources with direct knowledge. As previously reported, Kanye remarked over the weekend that Kim refuses to allow him see their children when he wants.
Kim, on the other hand, has welcomed her ex-engagement husband’s in their children’s lives and wants him to spend time with their four children, claiming that he picked them up for school on Monday.
Furthermore, according to our sources, Kanye spent three days with the kids in the last week, marking his first trip to Los Angeles since the Super Bowl. Kanye also brought three of the kids to the Donda 2 event in Miami last month — we’re told Kim kept North in L.A. because she had a test at school that she didn’t want to miss, so she prioritized school.
Here’s the problem. There hasn’t been a legal custody agreement in place until now. They’ve attempted to solve the problem amongst themselves. She’s game when Kanye comes to town and wants to see the kids, unless they’re in the middle of something else.
However, there is clearly a disagreement, and it is escalating. We’re told Spector will initially try to develop a more official relationship between Kim and Kanye, but if that fails, she’ll go to court and seek a judge to set custody and visitation guidelines.
Here’s the catch: Kanye travels regularly outside of Los Angeles, making it difficult to establish a custody agreement since his schedule is always changing.
