Jaime Teo breaks her collarbone trying to overtake a group of cyclists
Jaime Teo, a local actress, revealed on Instagram on Saturday (March 26) that she was engaged in a bike accident and suffered a broken collarbone.
She explained in her article, which included photos of her injuries, that she sped up and plowed into a cyclist who had suddenly turned right while trying to overtake a large group of riders at Marina Bay Sands.
She wrote: “I should’ve cycled slower, should’ve rung my bell or they could’ve signalled or could’ve looked back before turning. All the ‘could’ves’ and ‘should’ves’ doesn’t change the fact that I’ve now a very broken collarbone and will need a bone graft and surgery next week.”
Some of the 44-year-jobs old’s had to be canceled as well. “I spent a few moments alone in A&E feeling sorry for myself #pityparty,” Jaime said, “but glad for excellent friends who helped me put things in perspective.”
Jesseca Liu and Michelle Chia, two of her celebrity friends, left well-wishes and support in the comments area.
This isn’t the first time Jaime’s collarbone has been hurt.
She injured the same bone in August 2021 after falling while cycling. She said at the time that the injury was not on her dominant side and that surgery was not necessary, however she did need to wear a sling for two to four weeks.
She updated a few weeks later, saying she had decided to have surgery rather than wait for the bone to heal.
