Stonebwoy has expressed his reservation with Shatta Wale’s approach at venting his spleen on Nigerian artistes over the population of their music in Ghana.

According to him, although Shatta Wale’s approach was questionable, the concerns he raised were valid.

In a Twitter reaction post, Stonebwoy insisted that Nigerian artists do not support their Ghanaian counterparts as much as they do. He said the phenomenon do not augur well for the collective growth and development of local talent.

He stated that Nigerian artists have achieved many of the “biggest milestones in the entertainment scene and are putting Africa on the global map.”

However, he added that with great power comes great responsibility, and Nigerian artists should bear the “responsibility of deliberately allowing music from other African nations that pollinate Nigerian music to flourish on Nigerian platforms on local and international levels.”

“The topic of our brother nation Nigeria not reciprocating the love and support it receives, particularly from Ghana, is valid and deserves critical attention,” Stonebwoy wrote.
