After oxycodone pills were allegedly discovered in his car, Kodak Black was arrested in South Florida.

According to the Associated Press, the “Super Gremlin” rapper was booked into jail in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on Friday and charged with possession of a controlled substance without a prescription and oxycodone trafficking.

The Florida Highway Patrol stopped Kodak’s purple Dodge Durango because the window tints appeared to be darker than the legal limit.

Police searched the vehicle after detecting a marijuana odour and discovered a small clear bag containing 31 white tablets and nearly $75,000 in cash. The tablets were later determined to be oxycodone.

Black’s vehicle registration and driver’s licence were also said to be expired.

Kodak’s lawyer issued a statement following his arrest. Bradford Cohen tweeted, “Never judge a case based on an arrest.” “There are facts and circumstances that lend themselves to a defence, particularly in this case.”

The 25-year-old Black is being held in the Broward County jail while awaiting a bond hearing. “We negotiated a $75,000 bond and will move forward with resolving the matter as soon as possible,” Cohen added.
