
Beyoncé’s “Renaissance” Debuts at No. 1 on Billboard
As Renaissance enters at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 332,000 equivalent album units, of which album sales make up 190,000, Beyoncé returns to the top of the charts.
The 16-track album, which is the first of three parts, has the second-largest week of 2022 and the biggest week for a woman. With 179.06 million streams, it also records the biggest streaming week for a female artist’s album in 2022.
Adele, whose song 30 spent six weeks at No. 1 on the charts between December 4, 2021, and January 8, 2022, was the last woman to hold the position. Harry Styles’ Harry’s House, which debuted in June with 521,000 copies, is the only album with a bigger overall debut in 2022.
Renaissance is the latest number-one album from Queen Bey. Beginning with Dangerously in Love in 2003, each of her seven solo studio albums debuted at No. 1.
Un Verano Sin Ti by Bad Bunny dips to No. 2 (104,000), Future’s I Never Liked You drops 5–9 (31,000), and Drake’s Honestly, Nevermind tumbles 6–10 elsewhere in the top 10. (29,000).
